About Me

Welcome to Integrative Self Therapy
My name is Sara, and I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor specialising in Integrative and Transactional Analysis (TA). Beginning of 2025 me and my partner moved to Hayle, Cornwall. We are now exploring local community and immersing ourselves into life in this special part of the world. From April 2025, I will be volunteering at the Waves Project, counselling service for people experiencing domestic violence. To find out more, please click on the word below:

Transactional Analysis is a widely respected framework for understanding personality and relationships. It simplifies complex psychological concepts, making them accessible and empowering. At its core is the belief that every individual is inherently “OK.” My integrative approach means that I complement TA with other psychotherapeutic methods, tailoring my support to meet your unique needs.
My journey into mental health began in 2012, working in healthcare settings such as residential care and nursing support for older adults. This experience sparked a deep curiosity about how to best support individuals facing mental health challenges, leading me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. While studying, I worked in acute mental health units, supporting individuals with severe mental health conditions and co-occurring challenges. These formative experiences guided me toward psychotherapy, and from that moment, I wholeheartedly embraced this path.
In 2021, I began clinical psychotherapy training, and by 2024, I earned my Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
In my practice, I adopt a holistic understanding of human experience, considering the interplay of social, physical, neurological, and emotional factors. I believe that each person’s struggles are deeply personal and deserve to be met with compassion, respect, and care.
It is both an honor and a privilege to support individuals as they navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to create a safe and nurturing space where you feel heard, understood, and supported.
As a registered member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), I adhere to their rigorous code of ethics. My practice is supported by regular clinical supervision, professional indemnity insurance, and an up-to-date DBS check. Currently, I also hold trainee psychotherapy membership with UKA4TA and UKCP.
